Is Educational Technology Effective?

I knew I wanted to become an economist when I read the Economist Magazine on a flight to Britain and found the content fascinating. Recently the Economist has launched an online debate series. This week’s topic may be of interest to Econ 2 online students. The proposition being debated is:
“Effectiveness of Technology - This house believes that the continuing introduction of new technologies and new media adds little to the quality of most education.”

Check it out and you may enjoy participating. Click here to enter the debate.

Late Start Econ 2 Extra credit: Send an e-mail to kwoodward@saddleback.edu with your vote on the above proposition along with the reasoning behind your vote, and you may be rewarded with two extra credit Discussion Board points. Only two points extra credit per student can be earned in any given week from the blog questions.
